My artistic development started a few years ago with visual experimentation through digital means such as the scanner and software related to my primary activity as a graphic designer to arrive today at manual practices such as painting, drawing, photography, collage and more recently sculpture.
My practice is guided by the search for contrast : whether by technical means but also in the gesture, colors, textures and finally in the overall aesthetic of my productions.
The gestures can be gentle or nervous, both thoughtful or totally random.
So many variations that respond to a certain quest for balance, for a result that is both raw and minimal.
My work doesn’t evoke a specific image, idea or theory, but can be perceived as a testimony, an observation of a world, of an era, of a society where contrast becomes impossible and where opposition and the nuances can be proscribed.
It is the result of introspection, of a permanent questioning, which leaves room for emotions and its contradictions.
The expression is spontaneous, instinctive even primitive and my work is radical, intense sometimes bordering on violence.
Each project is a renewal and I never know where my curiosity will lead me, experimentation and research being at the heart of my practice.
Aim being to promote individual interpretation, mental and visual investigation.
